Marvelously skilled and quick as lightning, the incomparable Milton Johnson was the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s preeminent men’s soccer player over the course of the league’s first three years. The first student-athlete to ever win a GNAC Player of the Year award twice in any conference sport, Johnson was among the best to ever wear a Johnson & Wales uniform. The conference’s leading scorer and Player of the Year with 22 goals and 48 points in 1996, Johnson had 11 goals and 26 points in 1997 to capture his second consecutive Player of the Year award. He returned to action in 2001 to use his final year of eligibility while in graduate school at Johnson & Wales, and contributed another six goals, to thus become the second Wildcat player in team history to score over forty goals in a career.
