The primary goal of the Johnson & Wales University Sports Medicine staff on the Providence Campus is to provide the best medical care possible to all varsity student athletes. The staff is devoted to the education, health and injury care, prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic related injuries. The sports medicine staff is dedicated to returning athletes to their sport in the safest and quickest manner possible.
The sports medicine staff is comprised of four athletic trainers who are certified by the National Athletic Trainers Association, and are licensed by the State of Rhode Island. Â A designated team physician, team orthopedists and other medical consultants and sub-specialists supplement the primary staff.
