Two staggering numbers summarize Emily Herr’s career: 97-7 and 3.91. The first is her competitive record over an extraordinary four-year tennis career; the second is her outstanding career GPA. A part of a powerful team that captured three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) tennis championships during her career, Herr ranks among the greatest winners in Wildcat history. She was among the top two players in overall winning percentage in the GNAC in each of her four years, Playing fourth or fifth singles, Herr didn’t lose a singles match until her junior season. From 1999 to 2002, she was 50-3 in singles play and 47-4 in doubles matches. 27-3 overall as a senior, she became the 2002 GNAC Player of the Year, establishing new career records for singles wins, doubles wins, overall wins, and winning percentage (.933). A winner in the classroom as well, Herr never missed the Dean’s List - she was a perfect 12-for-12.
