One of the preeminent soccer players in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference’s first decade, fleet-footed Chris LeFave was a Johnson & Wales scoring machine. A three-time GNAC First Team selection, and the conference’s 1999 Player of the Year, he was the captain of three Wildcat teams. LeFave scored 59 goals and had 44 assists in 78 career games. He led the GNAC with a record-tying 22 goals and a record-breaking 54 points in 1999. His 162 career points set an all-time school record, one of several that lasted through the program’s first decade and more. LeFave’s name is also found at the top of the Johnson & Wales leader lists in games played, career goals, and career assists. The native of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, was also a two-time GNAC All-Tournament selection.
