The Johnson & Wales Baseball team fell to cross-town opponents, the Rhode Island College Anchormen on Thursday afternoon.  The Wildcats honored five seniors, Matt Klarberg (Wayne, N.J.), Dane DellaValle (Howell, N.J.), Kyle Cutler (East Hampton, Conn.) Jake Hernandez (Missouri City, Texas), and Daniel Heise (Richmond, N.H.) in a pregame ceremony.

The Anchormen took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning on a Cal Parrillo single to center field.  The Wildcats knotted the score in the bottom of the second frame, with Owen Davis (Bristol, Conn.) driving home EJ Leone (Peabody, Mass.) on a single to center field.

The Anchormen rattled off 18 straight runs over the third to seventh inning, taking a 19-1 victory over the Wildcats.

JWU closes out the regular season on Saturday when they travel to take on Rivier in a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm.
