PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JWU (Providence) senior Jack Obert has been named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 2 Second Team and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division III Region II All-Region Second Team. Redshirt junior Max Randazzo was named to the ABCA Division III Region II All-Region Third Team.

A Conference of New England (CNE) First Team selection, Obert led the conference in home runs (10) and slugging pct. (.610), and was second in walks (30), fifth in RBI (40), and seventh in runs (39). The Plymouth, Massachusetts native was named CNE Player of the Week on two occasions this season and drove in two-or-more runs 12 times, highlighted by a two-home run, four-RBI effort against Roger Williams on Match 25. Obert smacked a grand slam home run in his final collegiate game on Senior Day against Suffolk on May 1.

Obert graduated JWU No. 3 in runs (174), No. 5 in home runs (18), No. 6 in RBI (129), and tied for No. 7 in hits (174) in program history.

Randazzo – a CNE Third Team pick – led the CNE in strikeouts (77) and was fourth in opponent batting average (.218). He allowed the eighth-fewest hits amongst starting pitchers in the conference and posted three double-digit strikeout games, including 12 against nationally-ranked and eventual conference champion Endicott on April 25.

The Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania native also fanned 10 against Marietta (March 13) and Curry (March 28). Randazzo graduated No. 7 in strikeouts (172) in program history.
