BEVERLY, Mass. – JWU (Providence) senior Jack Obert has been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Baseball Player of the Week for the second time this season.

The Plymouth, Massachusetts native homered in three games last week and finished with a .400 average (4-for-10), six walks and seven RBI.

Obert smacked a home run in the fourth inning in a loss at Roger Williams on Tuesday and drew three walks in a win over Springfield the following day.

On Senior Day against Suffolk this past Friday, Obert belted two home runs – including a grand slam – and finished the DH 3-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and three walks. The Wildcats won both games to finish the season 15-24.

Obert closes his senior campaign leading the CNE in home runs (10), second in walks (30), and third in both RBI (40) and slugging pct. (.610). He posted a .312 average with eight doubles, a pair of triples, and was a perfect 10-for-10 in stolen base attempts.

He was previously named CNE Player of the Week on March 16.
