Jack Dwyer smacked a grand slam in a seven-run fifth inning to propel the JWU (Providence) baseball team to a 9-8 win over Springfield College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Yedan Diaz also drove in two runs with a double as the Wildcats notched win No. 13 on the season.
JWU trailed 2-0 in the fifth when Diaz double down the right field line tied the game. After freshman
Dimitri Staphos recorded an RBI when he was hit with the bases loaded, Dwyer homered over the left field fence to put his team ahead 7-2.
