Dylan Harr, Patrick Wisniewski and
Joziah Fry, all secured All-America honors at the Division III Wrestling Championship for the JWU (Providence) wrestling team on Friday at the La Crosse Center.

2024 NCAA Division III Championship Brackets
DeVivo took down No. 2 seed Charles Baczek (Wabash) with a 9-6 decision at 197 lbs. and then knocked off Cole Cervantes (North Central (IL)) with a 19-3 tech fall in 6:53 to advance to the semifinals on Saturday. DeVivo will meet Niall Schoenfelder (Wis.-Eau Claire) for a chance to compete for the national championship.
Fry – the reigning national champion at 125 lbs. – began the day with a 21-6 tech fall win over Cade Hornback (Coe) and later defeated Mac Caurello (Roanoke) 19-4 in 4:50 to secure his second-consecutive All-America honor. Fry will meet James Day (Wabash) on Saturday in the semifinals.
Perlleshi was upended in the opening round by Mark Samuel (Roanoke), who scored a 19-6 tech fall win. He responded with a 24-9 tech fall win over Gabe Goss (Oswego St.) and a 4-3 win over two-time All-America James Rodriguez (Castleton) in the wrestleback to secure All-America honors. Perlleshi will meet Ethan Pogorzelski (Wis.-Whitewater) on Saturday.
Wisniewski began the day with a 4-1 decision over Dustin Bohren (Loras) before a fall loss to top-seeded Matt Lackman (Alvernia) sent him to the wrestleback to meet Shawn Marchesano (Ursinus), who he defeated via 11-5 decision. He will face Tristan Nassie (Wis.-Eau Claire) on Saturday.
Harr was defeated by No. 7 seed Cameron Butka (Wilkes) via a 4-1 decision in the opening round. He went on to down Bryce McCloskey (Mount Union) with a 13-1 major decision win to advance to the blood round, where he secured a fall in 2:07 over Lorenzo Pellot (Roanoke). As a result, Harr earned his second-straight All-America honor. He will meet No. 4 seed Ben Kawczynski (Wis.-La Crosse) on Saturday.
Sophomore
Adolfo Betancur pinned Mason Slocum (Adrian) in the 285 lb. bracket before taking a 14-1 major decision loss to No. 2 seed Rayshawn Dixon (Ferrum). He rebounded to defeat Reid Garrison (Merchant Marine) via fall in 2:14 to advance to the blood round, where his tournament was ended with a 21-4 tech fall in 5:14 to top-seeded Carl DiGiorgio (Coast Guard).
Junior
Gabriel Leo-Esparolini (133 lbs.) surprised No. 6 seed Tyler Fleetwood (Wis.-Eau Claire) with an 11-4 decision in the opening round. His quest for All-America honors ended with a 17-1 tech fall defeat to No. 3 seed Jaden Hinton (Baldwin Wallace) and a 5-4 decision to Jacob Blair (Delaware Valley).
The championship will resume on Saturday morning.
