PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Graduate student Tommy Wrzesien, sophomore Patrick Wisniewski, and freshman Adolfo Betancur each won their respective weight class in NCAA Division III wrestling action at the Wildcat Open Sunday at the Wildcat Center.

Wrzesien was on the winning end of a 10-9 decision at 197 lbs. while Wisniewski scored a 5-3 decision at 165 lbs. and Betancur won via fall in :16 seconds at 285 lbs. Junior Matthew Garcia placed second at 157 lbs. (no contest).

Freshman Ryan O'Rourke (125 lbs.) and Ky'ell Roper (184 lbs.) both placed third in their weight class. O'Rourke won by majority decision (9-1) in the consolation match while Roper picked up the win with an 8-3 decision in his consolation bout.

Senior Nicholas DeSola (141 lbs.) and sophomore Christian Rivas (133 lbs.) both placed fourth in their weight class.
