Box Score 2 WILLIMANTIC, Conn. - The JWU baseball team plated a pair of runs on the day as they dropped a pair of games to Eastern Connecticut State University on Tuesday afternoon. The Warriors took the opener 5-2 and won game two by a score of 4-0.

Of Note:
In game one, the Wildcats fell behind early in the second inning, 2-0, before senior Armani Henderson was hit by a pitch. First baseman Kevin Duffy stepped to the plate and launched an opposite field homerun in the top of the 4th to tie things up at two apiece. That would be the extent of the offensive output for JWU as they were shut down by the Warriors pitching staff. JWU gathered just one hit in game one en route to the 5-2 setback.
The nightcap saw JWU scatter three hits at the plate and surrender three runs in the second inning en route to the 4-0 loss. First year infielder Gus Lappin was able to pick up his first career hit in a Wildcat uniform during a pinch hit opportunity in the 7th.

The Wildcats will travel back to Brandeis to take on the the Judges for the 4th and 5th time this season. Games are slated for a 11 a.m. start on Saturday, April 10.
