Box Score PROVIDENCE - The JWU baseball team played their first game at home since March 27th and dropped a non-conference matchup with Eastern Connecticut State, 11-2, on Thursday.

Of Note:
The Wildcats fell behind early, surrendering four runs on four hits in the opening frame. First year EJ Leone was able to stroke a base hit to center for his first career RBI in the bottom of the 2nd to bring the score to 4-1. The Wildcats pitching staff held the door shut after the top of the 1st until the visiting half of the 6th when ECSU collected three more runs to take a 7-1 lead. JWU answered in the bottom of the frame when Leone smacked his second hit of the day and moved Clayton McAllister, who was hit by a pitch in the previous at bat, up to second. Senior Patrick Fleming earned his lone hit of the contest that brought McAllister around to get the Wildcats their second run. In the 9th, the Warriors crossed the plate four more times and walked away with the 11-2 victory.
