Box Score

KEENE, NH – One bad inning kept the Johnson & Wales University baseball team from victory. A four-run third allowed Keene State University to beat the Wildcats, 5-4, on Saturday.

Records:
Keene State: 7-12
Johnson & Wales: 16-6

Statistical Leaders:
Colby Greenhalgh (JWU): 2-4, 2 R, 1 RBI
Tim Lombardi (JWU): 2-4, 2 RBI
Armani Henderson (JWU): 3-4

Of Note:
Tim Lombardi opened the scoring with an RBI single in the top of the third to score Colby Greenhalgh. The Owls answered with four in their half of the third off JWU starter Tom Doran.

A Greenhalgh double in the fifth and KSU throwing error in the eighth got the Wildcats within 4-3. The Owls added an insurance run in the eighth.

Greenhalgh started the ninth with a walk and scored all the way from first on Lombardi's second RBI. Unfortunately, pinch run Vin Amalfitano was stranded on first the rest of the game.

Up Next:
JWU returns to conference action Sunday when it travels to Lasell for a 4 pm doubleheader.
