Box Score 2 PROVIDENCE RI – Twice the Johnson & Wales University baseball team rallied to beat Albertus Magnus on Sunday. JWU got five runs in the fifth and six innings of game one to win 7-5 then Edison Mercado's walk-off single in the seventh gave the Wildcats a 4-3 win in the nightcap.

Of Note:
Johnson & Wales found itself down 5-2 after the fourth inning. Tryiq Harris scored Mike Brown on an infield single and Matt Warren was walked with the bases loaded to plate Dan Kennedy.
The Wildcats scored three times in the fifth to tie the game. Colby Greenhalgh ripped a triple to score Rob Ballinger and Vin Amalfitano then crossed home on a Mercado sacrifice fly.
Two Falcon miscues in the six allowed JWU to score the winning run. With Tom Lombardi on first, Joe Maracic reached on an error. Amalfitano's ground ball was mishandled by the shortstop, allowing Lombardi to score. Maracic scored on a Ballinger sacrifice fly.
Tom Doran came on in relief of JWU starter Rich Marshall to pick up the victory. He threw 2.1 scoreless innings for his first win of the year. Josh Mousseau struck out two of the three batters he faced for his first save of the season.
The Falcons broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the top of the fifth inning of game two. Harris' ground out scored Omar Diaz then Justen Rodriguez got an infield single to score Brandon Clark.
JWU had two runners on in the sixth but couldn't come up with a run. Pinch hitter Will Fritz started the seventh with a walk then one out later moved up to second on a Ballinger walk. Greenhalgh's single scored Fritz. Raimiel Rodriguez's single to left field loaded the bases. Mercado's single got past the first baseman and into right field. Ballinger scored from third and Greenhalgh slid in safely as the throw was up the first base line.
