East Providence, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University baseball team dropped a pair of decisions against Suffolk in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference double header at Pierce Field on Saturday afternoon. In the opener, Suffolk got the only run they would need in the bottom of the third on an RBI triple by senior Bobby Barrett (Milton, Mass.). The visiting Rams added a run in the bottom of the sixth with an RBI single by junior Eric Del Buono (Westfield, Mass. ) en route to the 2-0 victory. Suffolk's junior Alex Torres (Framingham, Mass.) picked up the win for Suffolk, allowing just one hit with four strikeouts in seven innings of work.

The visiting Rams knotted the game at 2-2 on an RBI single by junior Andrew Babb (Hopkinton, Mass.) and capitalized on a JWU miscue to take the 3-2 lead in the bottom of the fifth. In the top of the sixth, an RBI single by senior Rich Fonseca (East Providence, R.I.) knotted the game at 3-3. Suffolk responded in the bottom of the seventh when Barrett led off with a single and later scored on an RBI single by Del Buono to take the 4-3 victory.
