WINTHROP, Mass. – Senior
Donny McInnis was one of five JWU (Providence) men's lacrosse student-athletes named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Third Team, as was announced by the conference earlier today.
McInnis – who was also named to the Sportsmanship Team – was joined by classmate
David Hill, sophomores
Trevor Reid and
Jack Donnelly, and freshman
Jacob Tresser.
McInnis finished second on the Wildcats in both goals (24) and points (33). The North Haven, Connecticut native scored a season-high five goals against Southern Maine on March 7 and racked up two goals and three assists in a win over Regis (MA) five weeks later. McInnis was named to both the Third Team & Sportsmanship Team as a junior in 2024, and he finished his career No. 4 in program history in goals (112) and No. 5 in points (149).
Hill ranked third on the Wildcats in caused turnovers (14) and tied for fourth in ground balls (37). The Bayville, New York native picked up a season-high five GB's against both Eastern Conn St. (March 11) and later in a win at Albertus Magnus (April 9). Offensively, Hill collected a goal and an assist in a win over Mitchell on April 12.
A GNAC Third Team pick as a freshman last season, Donnelly tied for 13th in the conference with 67 ground balls to go with 23 points (13-10-23). He compiled a season-high five points (3-2-5) against USM and notched nine ground balls against first-place Rivier on March 29. The Reading, Massachusetts native scooped up four-or-more ground balls 10 times in 2025.
Reid started all 15 games he appeared in this past season and racked up 24 ground balls and 15 caused turnovers, including six in a one-goal win over Thomas (ME) on March 1. A Westford, Massachusetts native, Reid collected his first collegiate assist in a win over Gordon on February 26.
Tresser – who was named GNAC Rookie of the Week on March 3 – tied for the team lead in goals (27) and placed second with 36 points. He scored two-or-more goals 10 times in 2025 and notched four hat tricks, highlighted by a four-goal effort in a win over the Huskies. The Wildcats were a perfect 4-0 when the Marlborough, Connecticut native tallied at least three goals.
