PROVIDENCE, R.I. – JWU (Providence) junior
Sophia Warburton has been named to the
College Sports Communications (CSC) Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team.
Named to the Conference of New England (CNE) First Team earlier this month, Warburton led the Wildcats in both goals (eight) and points (20) in 19 matches in 2025. The Norfolk, Virginia native was named CNE Player of the Week after picking up a hat trick in a win over Hartford on October 14.
Warburton – who holds a 3.8 grade point average (GPA) as a criminal justice major – will enter her senior season in a tie for sixth place in JWU program history in assists (22). She also owns eight career game-winning goals, which is tied for No. 7 in program history, and her 70 career points is five shy of cracking the top 10.
Warburton will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced December 16, 2025.
