Sophia Warburton scored her eighth goal of the season for the JWU (Providence) women's soccer team in a 2-1 loss Saturday night in the quarterfinals of the Conference of New England (CNE) Tournament at Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Jessica Lee added an assist for third-seeded Wildcats, who finish the 2025 campaign with an 8-8-3 record. JWU was outshot 17-16 – including 10-4 in a second half which saw them score on its first shot of the stanza.
Lily Goldmann and Isa Peraza scored 3:04 apart late in the first half to stake the Rams (10-3-5) to a 2-0 lead. Warburton knocked in a corner kick from Lee 44 seconds into the second to cut the home team's deficit to one, but the Wildcats had just three shots the rest of the way.

Kyla Stamilio got the start in goal for head coach
Chris Flint and made two saves. Junior
Ava Vaughan played the final 45 minutes and notched three saves while senior
Kylie Schmidt saved a third Suffolk goal with a defensive stop on the goal line.
Warburton led all student-athletes with six shots and Lee tallied three. Arden Rose was credited with five saves for the Rams.
