BEVERLY, Mass. – JWU (Providence) junior
Sophia Warburton headlined the list of four student-athletes named to the Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams.
Warburton grabbed a spot on the First Team while sophomores
Bella Vena and
Catie Iannico were named to the Second Team. Additionally, senior
Sophia Iovino was named to the Community Service Team.
Warburton led the Wildcats in both goals (eight) and points (20) in 19 matches in 2025. The Norfolk, Virginia native was named CNE Player of the Week after picking up a hat trick in a win over Hartford on October 14. This season, Warburton moved into a tie for sixth place in JWU program history in assists (22). She also owns eight career game-winning goals, which is tied for No. 7 in program history, and her 70 career points is five shy of cracking the top 10.
Vena started 17 of the 18 JWU matches in the midfield for head coach
Chris Flint while Iannico started all 18 on defense. The pair helped solidify a defense which posted four shutouts, one of which was a 1-0 whitewash of previous unbeaten Babson in September 29. Iannico scored her first collegiate goal – which proved to be the game-winner – at Gordon in late September.
A two-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Academic All-Conference Team selection, Iovino registered five points (2-1-5) in 17 matches. The Food & Beverage Entrepreneurship major scored the GWG against both Nichols and Curry this season.
