PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's soccer program climbed one spot to No.6 in this week's
United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Region II Rankings.
The Wildcats (8-7-3, 6-2-2) wrapped the regular season with a 1-1 tie with Western New England on Tuesday night at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex. Sophomore
Rowan Garr scored her third goal of the season on a cross from junior
Sophia Warburton, and goalies
Ava Vaughan and
Kyla Stamilio combined to make two saves.
Warburton continues to lead JWU in both goals (seven) and points (18), followed by junior
Jessica Lee with nine points (3-3-9).
The Wildcats enter this weekend's CNE playoffs riding a six-match unbeaten streak (4-0-2) and will host No. 6 Suffolk on Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m. The two schools played to a scoreless tie in Boston back on October 21.
