Women's Soccer up one spot in latest USC Rankings

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's soccer program climbed one spot to No.6 in this week's United Soccer Coaches (USC) Division III Region II Rankings.

The Wildcats (8-7-3, 6-2-2) wrapped the regular season with a 1-1 tie with Western New England on Tuesday night at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex. Sophomore Rowan Garr scored her third goal of the season on a cross from junior Sophia Warburton, and goalies Ava Vaughan and Kyla Stamilio combined to make two saves.

Warburton continues to lead JWU in both goals (seven) and points (18), followed by junior Jessica Lee with nine points (3-3-9).

The Wildcats enter this weekend's CNE playoffs riding a six-match unbeaten streak (4-0-2) and will host No. 6 Suffolk on Saturday, November 1 at 7 p.m. The two schools played to a scoreless tie in Boston back on October 21.
