Talbot qualifies for regionals as Wildcats place third at Brown

WARREN, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) IHSA program placed third at a show hosted by Brown University on Saturday, October 5 at Windswept Farms.

Junior Caitlin Talbot qualified for regionals with a second-place finish in Introductory Equitation on the Flat. First-place finishers included sophomore Grace Taylor in Open Flat, junior Ashley Vie in Novice Flat, and freshman Isabella Lawson in Pre-Novice Flat.

Senior Samantha Stepanik placed second in both Open Flat & Open Fences while Taylor (Open Fences) and senior Adaline Hanes (Intermediate Flat) both placed third.

Other highlights included:

Sophomore Kate Scherer made her debut in intermediate flat
Freshman Sofia Vaca made her debut in intro flat
Ella Willard made her debut in novice flat
