Wildcats Beat Emmanuel 21-5 For 33rd-Straight GNAC Victory

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales University women's lacrosse team had no problems continuing its GNAC winning streak. The Wildcats picked up their 33rd-straight conference win by toppling the Saints of Emmanuel College, 21-5, on Saturday. 

Records:
Johnson & Wales: 8-4, GNAC 6-0
Emmanuel College: 4-6, GNAC 3-4

Goalkeepers:
JWU: Cassidy O'Hara (W 7-2) 4 Saves, 5 Goals
EC: Bethany Bonilla (L 7-4) 11 Saves, 21 Goals

Statistical Leaders:
JWU: Allison Pazienski 6 Goals, 2 Assists
JWU: Maria Patane 4 Goals, 3 Assists


Of Note:
Even though Emmanuel got on the board within the first minute of the game, the Wildcats answered by going on a 12-1 run. Allison Pazienski scored all six of her goals and had two assists during that stretch.   

Marla Medina, Maria Patane and Dani Lydecker would put in the last three goals of the first half as the Wildcats went into the break up 15-3. 

The Wildcats slowed the pace down in the second half, controlling the offense and the midfield. JWU would end the game on a 6-1 run. 

The Wildcats outshot the Saints, 36-12, and dominated draw controls, 21-4.

The Wildcats travel to Saint Joseph's (Conn.) Wednesday for a 4 p.m. start.
