Cassie Burke scored six goals and classmate
Sidney Mayers added five as the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team rolled to a 19-3 win over Wentworth Institute of Technology Tuesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
Sophomore
Kelsey Higgins potted four goals of her own to go with a team-high six ground balls and three draw controls as the Wildcats (4-5, 3-2 CNE) outshot the Leopards 35-6 and forced 28 turnovers. Burke, meanwhile, won five draw controls, collected five ground balls, and went 3-for-4 on free position attempts.

Giovanna Gulinello registered one goal and one assist. First-year
Keira Donegan registered three draw controls and classmate
Bailey Paige picked up four ground balls.
JWU led 4-1 after one and moved in front by 10 at 11-1 late in the second quarter. The remainder of the game was played with a running clock as the Leopards (4-6, 1-4) converted on just five of their 19 clearing attempts.
