Addison Stratton each recorded a goal and an assist for the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team in a 14-7 loss to the University of New England Saturday morning in the Conference of New England (CNE) opener at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
First-year
Riley Shepley added a pair of helpers for the Wildcats (1-5, 0-1 CNE), who were outshot 25-17. Classmates

Sidney Mayers,
Morgan Blanchard,
Cassie Burke, and
Keira Donegan also found the back of the net for the home team.
Burke and Stratton scored first-quarter goals as the Wildcats trailed by one (3-2) after one. The Nor'easters ripped off eight of the next 10 goals over the following two quarters to build an 11-3 heading to the fourth.
Higgins paced JWU with six ground balls while Burke won five draw controls and sophomore
Susannah Brown caused a pair of turnovers. First-year goalkeeper
Anna Barber recorded five saves.
