Alyssa Morrison and freshman
Riley Shepley have been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player and Rookie of the Week, respectfully.
Morrison caused seven turnovers and collected nine ground balls in two wins for the Wildcats last week. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native caused three turnovers and collected three GB's in a win over Hartford on Wednesday, then racked up five GB's and caused four turnovers in a road win at Suffolk this past Saturday.
Shepley, meanwhile, racked up 12 points on seven goals and five assists to spark the offense. The San Diego, California native tallied up seven points (5-2-7) in a one-goal win over the Hawks on Wednesday before picking up four goals and an assist against the Rams three days later. Shepley leads JWU in both goals (21) and points (33) thus far in 2026.
The Wildcats (3-5, 2-2 CNE) host Wentworth Tuesday at 7 p.m.
