WINTHROP, Mass. – Sophomore Lulani Haslinger has been named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Women's Indoor Track & Field Track Athlete and Rookie of the Year, and headlines the list of 14 student-athletes to garner all-conference honors.

Haslinger placed first in the 800m run (2:23.41), one mile run (5:34.85), and the 3000m run (11:33.42) to earn all-conference honors in all three events.

The top three finishers in each event at the GNAC Championships – which were held on February 16 in Boston – qualified for a spot on the All-Conference Team. Other JWU student-athletes recognized include:

• Sophomore Lena Nicholson – first in the weight throw (12.68m)
• Sophomore Riley Veits – first in pole vault (2.80m)
• Freshman Melissa Charles – second in pole vault (2.75m)
• Sophomore Erika Sanders – second in shot put (10.35m)
• Junior Katelyn O'Brien, sophomore Fallon Preble, sophomore Catherine Migre, sophomore Ayevah Marinez – first place in 4x400m relay (4:14.41).
• Haslinger, sophomore Piper-Jean Ferguson, freshman Kyla Leahy, freshman Alexandra Szelag – first in distance medley relay (13:44.15)
• Freshman Ayevah Marinez – third in 200m dash (27.16)
• Graduate student Marissa Lombardi – third in 5000m run (20:47.23)
• Freshman Kayla Rodriguez – third in pole vault (2.60m) 

Additionally, Veits was named to the GNAC Sportsmanship Team.
