Track & Field competes at UMass Dartmouth, Bryant

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's track & field team competed at both the Corsair Classic (UMass Dartmouth) and the Black & Gold Invite (Bryant University) this past Saturday.

Junior Katelyn O'Brien placed sixth in the javelin at Bryant with a throw of 36.11m. Sophomore Brynn Leahy (29.23m) took 14th place.

Highlights from the Corsair Classic included:

Sophomore Lulani Haslinger finished second in the 5000m run (18:19.52) while freshman Caroline Carter was 10th (19:45.38)
Freshman Ayevah Marinez took seventh in the 100m dash (13.31). Sophomore Fallon Preble (13.92) placed 14th
Sophomore Valenah Mahabal (1.46m) finished fourth in the high jump. Classmate Olivia Weldin was sixth (1.41m)
Freshman Maddie Plante grabbed fourth in the 200m dash (30.97)
