WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The JWU (Providence) women's track & field team competed at the Purple and Gold Opener this past week at West Chester University.

First-year Josie Spaulding placed seventh in the 1500m (5:11.23) and 11th in the 800m (2:37.86). Junior Chidera Obike took sixth in the hammer (35.97m).

Senior Avery Goshert finished eighth in the 5000m run (20:24.83) and 14th in the 1,500m run (5:27.97).

Junior Abigail Rendock placed 11th in the hammer (28.44m). Fallon Preble claimed 14th in the 100m dash (13.34) and 16th 200m dash (27.73).

First-year Corinne Breyault finished ninth in the triple jump (9.19m).
