JWU athletics looking for work-study students for 2024-25 season

The Johnson & Wales University athletic department is seeking work-study students for the 2024-25 season.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for sports to work at home events. Students will be asked to perform the following duties:

               -Statistician: assist the Asst. Athletic Director for Communications keep statistics for soccer, volleyball, field hockey, basketball, hockey, baseball, softball, and lacrosse
               -Scoreboard Operator: control the scoreboard at all home events
               -Public Address Announcer: read the starting lineups, announce goals and baskets, etc.
               -DJ: responsible for all in-game music
               -Ball Chasers: collect balls that go out-of-bounds at soccer, field hockey, and volleyball matches
               -Camera operation / webcast production: assist our video production team by managing the camera for all home contests
               -Penalty Box: Manage the penalty box at all home men's and women's ice hockey games

These are ideal work-study jobs for students looking to gain hands-on experience in collegiate sports. Interested students should contact Pete DiVito at pdivito@jwu.edu.

Interested students who have federal work-study funds available should plan to attend the Federal Work-Study (FWS) Meet & Greet and Experiential Education & Career Services Job Fair on Thursday, August 29 from 12 pm - 3 pm at Gaebe Commons to meet with Pete DiVito.

Students interested in working in athletics who do not possess federal work-study funds should contact Pete DiVito directly about other opportunities within athletics.
