MANSFIELD, Mass. – JWU (Providence) freshman
Chris Alexander has been named the
New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) Men's Ice Hockey Rookie of the Week.
Alexander racked up five points (2-3-5) in a 5-2 win over UMass Boston on Friday night at the New England Sports Village, giving the Wildcats their first win in 15 all-time meetings with the Beacons (1-14-0). He scored the first goal of the contest 12:14 into the first period before registering a pair of assists in the second. Alexander then assisted on JWU's fourth goal on the power play in the fourth and closed the scoring with an empty-netter at 19:00.
The Los Angeles, California native – who was also named NEHC ROW back on December 11 – closed his first season in Providence with four goals and 15 points playing a top nine role for head coach

The Wildcats finished the 2023-24 campaign with their highest win total since 2016-17.
