Connor Nelson picked up two goals and an assist to lead the JWU (Providence) men's hockey team to a 6-4 win over Western New England University Saturday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at Lynch Arena.

Cam Martin added three assists for the Wildcats (4-6-1, 2-4-0 CNE), who scored four goals in the first – two of which came on the power play. Junior

Jack Gerne potted his first two collegiate goals and junior
Joe Freeman dished out two helpers.
Gerne opened and closed the first-period scoring the JWU and Martin tallied two apples in the opening period. The Golden Bears struck for two in the first 9:26 of the second and closed the period trailing by two at 5-3 following a short-handed goal at 18:10.
Western New England made it a one-goal game with a goal at 17:52 of the third with the extra attacker. Crook sealed the win for the Wildcats with an empty-netter from center ice.
