PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Graduate student Victor Perlleshi has been named the New England Wrestling Association (NEWA) Wrestler of the Week.

The Chappaqua, New York native went 4-0 at the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) National Duals this past weekend to help the Wildcats place sixth. Perlleshi began the day with a fall victory in :26 seconds against Ty Koedman of Coe and later secured a fall in :29 seconds against Michael Conklin of TCNJ.

On Saturday, Perlleshi win via fall in 3:00 over Jashon Holmes of Castleton before closing the event with an 11-8 decision over Gabe McGeough of Coe. His record now stands at 8-2 on the season.

The Wildcats host Roger Williams, Trinity (CT), and WPI this Saturday at the Wildcat Center.
