PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Johnson & Wales (RI) University Athletic Hall of Fame will induct five former standout student-athletes on Saturday, October 7: Quarry Greenaway, Bryan Lenhardt, O'Kyle Corridon, Raquel Pederzani, and Lydia Knapp. Additionally, the 2015-16 men's basketball team will be enshrined. The group will be inducted at 6 p.m. at a ceremony held at the Rhode Island Room.

Opened in 2000, the Hall of Fame will now house a total of 66 members: 51 former student-athletes, 11 coaches and administers, and four teams.
"I would like to congratulate Quarry, Bryan, O'Kyle, Raquel, and Lydia, as well as our 2015-16 men's basketball team, on their recent selection into our Johnson & Wales Athletics Hall of Fame," said JWU Director of Athletics Dana Garfield. "The accomplishments of these individuals has been so impactful to the growth and success of all JWU athletic programs. These inductees should serve as an inspiration to our current student-athletes and as motivation for them to continue building on the foundation that has been laid. Quarry Greenaway '16
One of the most decorated student-athletes in JWU history, Greenaway was a three-time Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) First Team selection who ranks as the second-leading scorer in Wildcat history with 2,304 points. A 2015-16 D3hoops.com All-America First Team pick, Greenaway was named to the GNAC All-Tournament team three times and the Tournament MVP in 2015-16, when the Wildcats captured the GNAC Championship and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.
Greenaway – who was named GNAC Rookie of the Year in 2012-13 and Player of the Year in 2015-16 – graduated as JWU's all-time leading rebounder (915), No. 2 in free throws (669), and No. 3 in both assists (291) and steals (199). As a senior, the Westchester, New York native averaged 25.8 ppg to push his career scoring average of 20.2 ppg. Earlier this year, he was elected to the GNAC Hall of Fame.
"I am extremely blessed and humbled to be selected into both the Johnson & Wales University and the GNAC Hall of Fame," said Greenaway. "First and foremost, I would like to thank my loving parents for their unconditional support. Thank you to my family, teammates, coaches, and everyone else from JWU who has assisted me. I valued every moment I had at Johnson & Wales University as a student-athlete."
Lydia Knapp '17
Knapp is the women's lacrosse program's all-time leading scorer with 329 points. The 2014 GNAC Rookie of the Year and 2015 GNAC Player of the Year was named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team on three occasions (2015-17), earning Tournament MVP honors in 2017 after leading the Wildcats to their first conference championship. Knapp wrapped her career with 227 goals and 102 assists – both of which were program-records at the time – and the Glens Falls, New York native she still holds the JWU record for ground balls (189), draw controls (285), and free-position goals (51).
"Being selected for the 2023 JWU Athletic Hall of Fame is a tremendous honor," said Knapp. "My time playing lacrosse at Johnson & Wales University was incredibly meaningful to my family and I. I had the opportunity to join the program prior to its first NCAA season, and earning a championship title my senior year was a highlight of my college career. I look back on my time at JWU with immense pride. I love to watch the team compete every year and cheer for their ongoing success. Thank you to my teammates, coaches, athletic department, and supporters for the help they provided and the role they played in an unforgettable journey."
Bryan Lenhardt '10
A two-time All-America selection (2008-09), Lenhardt finished sixth in the nation at 184 lbs. twice during his illustrious career for head coach
Lonnie Morris. The Hayes, Virginia native earned three all-conference nods during his tenure in Providence and joined the 40-win club in 2009, 16 of which came via pin.
"When I first heard the news that I was being inducted into the 2023 Johnson and Wales Athletic Hall of Fame, I was pleasantly surprised," explained Lenhardt. "It's a really good feeling knowing that all my hard work and dedication to the sport of wrestling is being honored and has not been forgotten."
O'Kyle Corridon '15
Corridon scored a JWU program-record 13 game-winning goals during his four-year run with the men's soccer program, including eight in 2014, when he was named GNAC Offensive Player of the Year. A two-time GNAC First Team pick (2013-14), Corridon guided the Wildcats to a pair of GNAC Championships and NCAA Tournament berths in 2013 and 2014, earning GNAC All-Tournament honors in 2013 and Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) All-New England Second Team accolades in 2014, when he tallied a career-high 32 points (14-4-32). The Selden, New York native finished his career with 77 points on 29 goals and 19 assists; his 77 points in third all-time at JWU while his goal and assist totals are both seventh, respectively.
"I'm surprised, grateful, and blessed," said Corridon. "Surprised because of all the astonishing talent I had the pleasure of sharing a field with. Grateful for every ounce of support I was given throughout my career. And blessed for all the lessons learned on and off the field that translated to me being the player/person that I am today."
Raquel Pederzani '18
A two-sport standout in women's basketball and lacrosse, Pederzani was a three-time GNAC Women's Basketball First Team honoree (2015-18) and is the all-time leader in points (1,383), assists (439), steals (214), three-pointers (194), and free throw pct. (79.9 pct.) at JWU. The Coventry, Rhode Island native was named to the GNAC Academic All-Conference Team three times (2015-18), and both the D3hoops.com All-Northeast Region Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District squad in 2017-18.
In lacrosse, Pederzani was a four-time All-GNAC honoree, garnering Second Team honors in 2015 & 2016 before snaring First Team accolades in 2017 & 2018. The 2018 GNAC Woman of the Year, Pederzani ranks among the all-time leaders in goals (164), assists (103), points (268), shots (332), ground balls (125), and free-position goals (38) at JWU. She was named to the 2018 GNAC All-Tournament Team.
"When I received the news, I felt extremely excited, yet incredibly humbled," said Pederzani. "When I have flashbacks of my time at JWU, I cherish the memories. To this day, I am still feeling gratitude and appreciation for the experiences and opportunities I had there."
2015-16 Men's Basketball Team
The Wildcats won a program-record 28 games and became the first program at JWU to advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament. Led by head coach
Jamie Benton, the Wildcats cruised through the GNAC slate, winning 17 of 18 conference games, to go along with key non-conference wins against Lewis & Clark, Eastern Connecticut State, and in-state rival Rhode Island College. As a result, JWU earned home court advantage throughout the GNAC playoffs, where they steamrolled St. Joseph's (ME) (73-36) and Emmanuel (MA) (97-79) to reach the finals. Behind a combined 62 points form Tom Garrick and Quarry Greenaway, the Wildcats knocked off Albertus Magnus in the GNAC Championship, 86-75, to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Facing Trinity (CT) in the first round, the Wildcats took the lead 90 seconds into the contest and never relinquished it en route to a 75-73 win as four JWU student-athletes finished in double digits. In the next round, Greenaway poured in a game-high 30 points and Garrick added 25 in an 86-74 win over Fitchburg State. The dream season ended six days later at Tufts University against the Jumbos.
JWU cracked the D3hoops.com Top 25 for the first time in 2015-2016, climbing to as high as No. 12. Benton took home GNAC Coach of the Year honors while Greenaway was tabbed GNAC Player of the Year and Robert Lewis was named GNAC Defensive Player of the Year. Greenaway and Garrick were First Team pics while Anthony Jernigan was named to the Second Team.
