Jeff Valdez Jimenez went 3-for-4 with an RBI for the JWU (Providence) baseball team in a 3-0 win over the University of Saint Joseph in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Wednesday afternoon at the USJ Baseball Field.
Senior
Trevor Juan also plated a run with a sac for in the seventh as the Wildcats won for the fifth time in their last six outings to move to 16-10 on the season (7-1 GNAC).
The game remained scoreless into the seventh when junior
Jack Obert led off with a single, advanced to third on a single from Valdez Jimenez, and scored on a failed pickoff attempt. Juan followed with a fly ball to right that brought in Valdez Jimenez, who later plated freshman
Yedan Diaz in the night with a single.

Brett Nickerson picked up the squad on a day where the offense was only able to muster five hits to earn his fourth win of 2025, holding the Blue Jays to six hits while striking out four in six innings of work.
