CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The JWU (Providence) women's track & field team competed at the Harvard Crimson Elite & Open on Saturday, February 8 at the Gordon Indoor Track.

Sophomore Lulani Haslinger competed in the first 3000m run of her collegiate career and placed sixth, giving her the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) lead in the event by 23 seconds.

Classmate Riley Veits placed 11th in the pole vault with a new personal record of 2.65m.

Other top finishers included:

• Freshman Melissa Charles placed 12th in the pole vault (2.50m) and 29th in the 60m dash (8.37)
• Freshman Ayevah Marinez was 21st in the 200m dash (27.15)
• Sophomore Lena Nicholson took 11th in the weight throw (12.20m) and 18th in the shot put (9.65m)
• Freshman Alexandra Szelag finished 25th in the one-mile run (5:52.38)
• Sophomore Piper-Jean Ferguson placed 13th in the 800m (2:36.26)
• Sophomore Catherine Migre was 12th in the 400m dash (1:04.34).
