BEVERLY, Mass. – Sophomore
Grace Jaffray has been tabbed the Conference of New England (CNE) Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Jaffray averaged 21.5 ppg and nine rebounds in a pair of JWU wins to move them to 3-0 in conference play. The Blue Hill, Maine native went for 17 points, six boards and three assists in a 17-point home win over Roger Williams on Tuesday, then filled the stat sheet with 26 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists in a road win at Nichols on Saturday.
Jaffray leads the conference and sits fifth in the nation in scoring at 25.0 ppg. Shed owns a pair of double-doubles this season: UMass Dartmouth (35 points, 11 rebounds) & Nichols (26 points, 12 rebounds.
The Wildcats (6-2) host Salem State Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
