Brianne Foley scored a team-high 20 points in a 63-46 win for the JWU (Providence) women's basketball team against Roger Williams University Tuesday night in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Wildcat Center.
The New Rochelle, New York native went 8-of-8 from the charity stripe and also racked up six rebounds, four steals, and two assists in 37 minutes for the Wildcats, who moved to 6-2 on the season (2-0 CNE). Classmate

Mikayla Caruso pulled down 11 rebounds and scored nine points.
The Wildcats outscored the Hawks 19-9 in the second to build an 18-point halftime lead at 38-19. Foley led all student-athletes with 12 points in the opening half (5-of-7 FG) and sophomore
Mia Cruz knocked down four of her five shots and tallied 10 points.
JWU canned 48 percent of its first-half shots and held the visitors to 27 percent while forcing 11 turnovers. The Wildcats kept up the defensive pressure in the second half, holding the Hawks to 9-of-31 from the floor (29 pct.).
The Wildcats closed the night shooting 16-of-21 from the line (76 pct.).
