PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) baseball team rallied for five runs in the eighth to defeat the University of Saint Joseph (CT) 8-3 Tuesday afternoon in Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.
The Wildcats (15-6, 6-1 GNAC) trailed 3-1 heading to the seventh before a pair of wild pitches allowed junior
Xavier Botelho and sophomore
Jack Obert to cross home plate and tie the game. In the eighth, Obert put JWU ahead for the first time with an RBI double that plated senior

Nicolas Fortes followed with a three-run jack to left to stretch the lead to 7-3. Later in the frame, junior
Zachary Amero tacked on another with an RBI single to center.

Ben Fosberg picked up the win in relief of sophomore
Max Randazzo, working two innings of scoreless relief for his first win of the season. Juan finished the contest with two hits while Obert and Botelho each scored twice.
