Nicolas Fortes went 1-for-4 with an RBI single for the JWU (Providence) baseball team in a 5-4 loss in 10 innings at Babson College Thursday afternoon in non-conference action at Govoni Field.

Xavier Botelho also went 1-for-4 with an RBI double and a sac fly, and sophomore
Jack Obert picked up an RBI for the Wildcats, who dropped their second-straight extra inning affair and moved to 20-10 on the season. Senior
Jack Magane recorded two of JWU's seven hits.
The Wildcats trailed 4-0 entering the eighth before Botelho's RBI double, followed by an RBI groundout from Obert and a run-scoring single from Fortes, made it 4-3. In the ninth, senior
Riley Hasson drew a leadoff walk and came in to score the tying run on Botelho's flyout to center.
Babson graduate student Luke Tanner opened the 10th inning with a leadoff work and scored the game-winning run on a grounder to second. JWU freshman
Dylan Young pitched to a no-decision, allowing five hits and four runs with five walks and three punchouts in 7.1 innings of work.
