Aidan Vining allowed one earned run over eight innings of work for the JWU (Providence) baseball program in a 7-2 win over McDaniel College Friday afternoon in non-conference action at The Ripken Experience.

Riley Hasson sparked the offense, going 3-for-4 with a two-run single, and junior
Ryan St. Jean laced a two-run single in the sixth for the Wildcats, who own a 5-0 record for the first time since the 2014 campaign, when they opened the season with nine-consecutive wins.

Owen Davis also drove in runs for JWU. Vining, meanwhile, scattered 11 hits to go with two walks and five strikeouts to move to 2-0 on the season.
