Owen Davis each drove in three runs for the JWU (Providence) baseball team in as 14-8 win at Methodist University Tuesday evening in non-conference action at Armstrong-Shelly Field.
Senior
Jack Magane added three hits and two RBI for the Wildcats, who improved to 2-0 on the season. Seniors
Riley Hasson and
EJ Leone each plated three runs in support of sophomore
Max Randazzo, who came on in relief and tossed five scoreless innings of two-hit ball to pick up the win.
The Wildcats trailed 6-1 after one before scoring two in the second and three in the third, fifth, and seventh innings to pull ahead 12-6. Fortes smacked a three-run home run in the third while Davis homered and Obert laced a two-run triple in the fifth.
Two innings later, Magane and Leone both punched an RBI double. In the ninth, the Wildcats tacked on two more runs on an RBI single from Leone and an RBU groundout from Hasson.
