PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) wrestling program is sending seven student-athletes to La Crosse, Wisconsin for the 2024 NCAA Division III National Championship this weekend at the La Crosse Center.

2024 NCAA Division III Championship Brackets
Junior and reigning 125 lb. National Champion
Joziah Fry (Coventry, R.I.) enters as the No. 1 seed and will face Code Hornback (Coe) on Friday morning. Named the Most Dominant Wrestler at the NCAA Northeast Regionals two weeks ago, Fry carries an unbeaten record into the championship.
Junior
Gabriel Leo-Esparolini (Roselle Park, N.J.) is making a return trip to the championships at 133 lbs. and will take on No. 6 seed Tyler Fleetwood (Wis.-Eau Claire) in the opening round on Friday. Earlier this season, Fleetwood recorded a fall against JWU sophomore
Jake Eckerle.
Two-time NCAA Northeast Regional Champion
Victor Perlleshi (Chappaqua, N.Y.) is set to face off against the winner of Mark Samuel (Roanoke) / No. 6 seed Sam Stuhl (Augsburg) on Friday morning in the 141 lb. bracket. The graduate student recorded two fall victories and one via decision at the regionals.
Junior
Patrick Wisniewski will be the No. 8 seed at 165 lbs. and meet the winner of Tristan Massie (Wis.-Eau Claire) and Dustin Bohren (Loras) on Friday. The Magnolia, Delaware earned NCAA Regional Champion honors at WPI on March 3 with a win over Steven Rochard (Coast Guard).
Graduate student
Ryan DeVivo placed third at the regionals and enters the championship unseeded at 184 lbs., which sets him up to meet Charles Baczek (Wabash) on Friday. The Berlin, Connecticut native knocked off Tyler Withers (Merchant Marine) in the third-place match at WPI to advance.
Junior
Dylan Harr (Mohnton, Pa.) – who earned third-place at the NCAA Championships last March to earn All-America honors – will meet No. 7 seed Cameron Butka (Wilkes) on Friday. Harr placed second at the regionals to Coy Spooner (Coast Guard), the No. 2 seed at nationals.
Sophomore
Adolfo Betancur is making his debut at the NCAA Championships and will meet Mason Slocum (Adrian) in the 285 lb. bracket. The Johnston, Rhode Island native took third at the regionals with a 2-0 win over Edison Guarcas (RIC).

Lonnie Morris guided the Wildcats to a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championship.
