WILLIMANTIC, Conn. – Junior Jack Magane recorded two hits in Johnson & Wales (RI) University's 3-1 loss at No. 5 Eastern Connecticut State University Thursday afternoon in non-conference baseball action at Eastern Stadium.
Sophomore Trevor Juan doubled and also scored for the Wildcats (9-9), who received a quality start from sophomore Justin Markell. The San Diego, California native allowed seven hits and three runs over 6.2 innings of work, allowing a pair of sole home runs in the seventh, the first of which broke a one-all tie.
Graduate student Griffin Snyder, sophomore Xavier Botelho, and freshman Jack Obert each recorded a hit for JWU.
