MEDFORD, Mass. – Graduate student Griffin Snyder drove in two runs for the Johnson & Wales (RI) University baseball team in Tuesday evening's 11-5 loss to Tufts University in non-conference action at Sol Gittleman Field.
Junior Riley Hasson smacked a solo home run and finished with two hits and two runs scored for the Wildcats (17-12), who also saw junior Jack Obert record two hits, two runs and an RBI. Classmate EJ Leone laced a run-scoring double to open the scoring in the first.
Sophomore Justin Markell surrendered four hits and six runs (four earned) in 2.1 innings of work. He walked three and struck out one to move to 0-2 on the season. Freshman Ben Fosberg worked the final 5.2 innings and allowed three hits and five runs (two earned) with two walks and three strikeouts.
