PROVIDENCE - The Wildcats split a Great Northeast Athletic Conference doubleheader with Albertus Magnus on Saturday afternoon to close the regular season. JWU won game one 3-2 and suffered a 7-3 setback in the night cap.

Of Note:
In game one, JWU came from behind on two separate occasions to earn the 3-2 victory. They were outhit 11-3 but used a sacrifice fly by Bryan Bessler in the 4th to tie the score at two and a bases loaded walk in the 4th to take the one run lead that senior Jake Hernandez was able to hang onto for JWU. Starter Ryan Depatie and Hernandez scattered 11 hits and no earned runs while striking out a combined six batters for JWU en route to their fifth straight win over the Falcons.
To close out the afternoon, Albertus went up 7-0 after four and a half innings. Raimiel Rodriguez knocked in a run in the bottom of the 5th to get the Wildcats on the board and later helped the second run cross when he attempted to steal second with a runner on third. JWU scored in the 7th on a Bessler RBI single through the left side to make the final, 7-3.
