PROVIDENCE - With the game tied at six in the bottom of the eighth, senior Bryan Bessler laced a single to right center that brought home Joe Maracic from second and give JWU a 7-6 advantage. Pitcher Dane DellaValle closed the game out in the ninth to send number two seeded JWU to their second straight GNAC Championship game.

The Lasers grabbed an early lead, 1-0, in the top of the first before Maracic knocked in a pair of runs on a single to right-centerfield pushing the Wildcats in front 2-1. Lasell punched back with two runs in the second to take a 3-2 advantage. In the third, EJ Leone smacked an RBI single down the left field line which led to Kevin Duffy's sky high three-run homerun to left that jumped the Wildcats in front 6-3. The Lasers scored a run in the fourth, sixth and seventh to tie things up and pave the way for Bessler's game-winning RBI.
Ryan Depatie and Dane DellaValle combined efforts to win for JWU with DellaValle pitching three innings on one hit baseball while striking out four en route to his second win of the season.

The Wildcats will travel to top-seed Anna Maria on Saturday afternoon at the New England Baseball Complex beginning at 12 p.m. The best-of-three GNAC Championship will see a doubleheader on Saturday and an if-necessary game three slated for Sunday in Northborough.
