PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) men's soccer team played to a scoreless tie with non-conference foe Bridgewater State University Tuesday night at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

William Slayton recorded five saves and has not allowed a goal through his first 270 minutes as a Wildcat. JWU (1-0-2) was outshot 13-9 on the night and received one corner kick, compared to three for the visitors.

Bruno Teixeira paced the Wildcats with three shots while classmate
Christopher Vargas has a pair, including the best chance of the night for JWU with less than nine minutes remaining in the match. His shot from just outside the box sailed over the crossbar and kept the match scoreless.
