PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The JWU (Providence) women's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference home matches on Saturday, defeating Manhattanville 3-0 to open play before dropping a 3-0 decision to Union at the Wildcat Center.

Trinity Ricevuto paced the Wildcats with 11 kills (.421 hitting pct.) while juniors
Nevaeh Arnold and
Emerson Lane added seven kills apiece. First-year
Jordan Brinkley contributed six kills and four service aces, senior
Kelsie Tretera handed out 18 assists and collected two aces, and sophomore
Sophia Santacroce recorded 11 assists and three aces. First-year
Emma Rivera Fernandez anchored the Wildcats defensively with 21 digs and sophomore
Brooke Caquelin added four kills and six digs.
Chargers 3, Wildcats 0 (25-20, 27-25, 25-21)
Caquelin paced the Wildcats with eight kills (.263 hitting pct.) while Arnold notched seven (.333 hitting pct.). Ricevuto racked up 17 digs and six kills, Lane recorded three kills and five blocks, and Tretera filled the stat sheet with 13 assists, nine digs, and one ace. Santacroce closed the match with 15 assists and four digs while Fernandez registered18 digs and added a kill, an assist and an ace.
