Riley Shepley scored seven goals to send the JWU (Providence) women's lacrosse team to the first Conference of New England (CNE) playoff win in program history, a 19-12 triumph over Suffolk University Saturday afternoon at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Complex.

Sidney Mayers each scored four times as the Wildcats (10-7) won for the fourth time in five outings. Third-seeded JWU will now face No. 2 Roger Williams in the semifinals on Wednesday at Bayside Field in Bristol, R.I.

Carley Cook recorded a career-high 13 saves in goal. Junior
Alyssa Morrison caused three turnovers and collected three ground balls, and both Higgins and senior
Fara Holland tallied four ground balls.
The Wildcats led by one at halftime before blowing the game open in the fourth with eight goals. Shepley and Mayers each scored twice in the first seven minutes of the stanza as JWU stretched its advantage to16-9 lead. A pair of goals from Burke later in the fourth helped push the lead to 19-10.
