Mady Lyons smacked a pair of home run and drove in five runs for the JWU (Providence) softball team in a 16-5 game two over Suffolk University Sunday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action at the Scotts Miracle-Gro Athletic Center.

Lyons laced an RBI single and classmate
Jadyn Torres plated another in the second. Junior
Chloe Brunelle added a pair of hits in support of senior
Jillian Reed, who fanned seven in six innings of work. She allowed five hits and three runs and did not walk a batter.
Game Two: Wildcats 16, Rams 5
Lyons went 3-for-5 with a pair of home runs and five RBI as the Wildcats evened their record at 7-7 (2-2 CNE). The Prior Lake, Minnesota native blasted a three-run shot in the fourth and a solo shot in the sixth, and is now one home run shy of the all-time record of 29, held by Emily Gorecki (2014-17).
Junior
Jessica Forneiro fell a home run shy of the cycle as she racked up two singles, a double and a triple to drive in a total of four runs. Sophomore
Harper Ellis, meanwhile, recorded three doubles while Brunelle also recorded up three hits and Torres had two hits and scored four runs. Juniors
Brianna Ghilardi and
Madi Wong combined to allow 12 hits and five runs (four earned) with three walks and one strikeout; Wong was credited with the win, her second of the season.
